High class Pokémon boxes, Japanese

High class boxes are the short print runs, meaning Pokémon Center exclusives, anniversary sets and premium collections that get one production window and never come back. That is why their prices move in a way ordinary boxes don’t and why plenty of people buy them to keep sealed.

Everything here is the Japanese print, sourced direct and held in Sydney, so it ships domestically instead of taking a month to arrive from overseas with import charges attached.

What is a Japanese high class box?

A high class set is a Japanese special set built for collectors, with fewer but bigger packs and a long run of secret rares. Mega Dream ex, Terastal Festival ex, Shiny Treasure ex, VSTAR Universe and Shiny Star V boxes each hold 10 packs of 10 cards, where a standard Japanese box holds 30 packs of 5. The secret runs are large: Mega Dream ex has 57 secret rares and Shiny Treasure ex has 170.

What is in a Black Bolt or White Flare Deluxe box?

The Deluxe edition holds 4 large packs of 35 cards each, instead of the regular box’s 20 packs of 7. The cards come from the same sets, Black Bolt and White Flare, released in Japan on 6 June 2025.

What are the Pokémon Center special boxes?

The Tohoku, Hiroshima and Fukuoka Special Boxes are Pokémon Center exclusives. They were sold only through the Pokémon Center in Japan, which keeps the supply small.

How many cards are in a high class set?

Far more than a standard set. Mega Dream ex has 250 cards, Terastal Festival ex has 237 and VSTAR Universe has 262, while Shiny Star V has 330 and Shiny Treasure ex has 360. Each one has a long run of secret rares on top of its main set.

Are these boxes sealed?

Yes. Every box is factory sealed and reaches you exactly as it left the manufacturer. We do not open, weigh, search or reseal anything.
