- A claim sale is a short sale of discounted stock, usually high demand product.
- Prices are fixed, so nobody bids.
- Stock is allocated in the order payments come through. Paying is what secures an item.
- When an item is gone it is gone, so be ready when the sale opens.
A claim sale is how we sell a small amount of discounted, high demand stock quickly and fairly. Every item has a fixed price, the sale opens at a set time and stock goes to buyers in the order their payments come through. First come, first served, with payment as the deciding moment.
How a claim sale works
- The drop. We post the items, their claim sale prices and when the sale opens.
- The claim. When it opens, you claim what you want and pay for it.
- The allocation. Stock is allocated in the order payments land. The first payments get the stock, until it runs out.
- The post. Once allocated, your order is packed and sent like any other order.
Why payment decides it
Allocating by payment keeps a claim sale fair. Nobody can hold stock they haven’t paid for and then disappear, so every item goes to someone who actually bought it. Nobody who paid is left waiting on someone who didn’t.
What sells in a claim sale
Claim sales are mostly for high demand product at a discount, the boxes and singles that would otherwise go quickly at full price. Quantities are small, which is exactly why the timing matters.
How to be ready
Be online when the sale opens, decide beforehand what you want and have your payment method ready, since the order payments arrive in is the order stock is allocated. If something you want sells out, the rest of the shop is still there at its usual price. Our guide to which box to buy helps if you are deciding between sets.
Is it an auction?
No. Nobody bids and prices never go up. The price is set before the sale. The only thing that decides who gets an item is when their payment comes through.
