What comes in a Scarlet & Violet box?

A standard Scarlet & Violet expansion box holds 30 packs of 5 cards. Collectors record a steady pattern inside: three Art Rares, one card of SR or better as the hit and about four Double Rare Pokémon ex. Sets from Wild Force and Cyber Judge in January 2024 onward add an ACE SPEC card to the box as well.
The special sets use their own formats. Shiny Treasure ex and Terastal Festival are high class sets of 10 packs of 10 cards, while Black Bolt and White Flare come as 20 packs of 7. The pull rates guide goes through the box structure in detail.
Twin sets and mini sets
Many main sets in the era came out as twins on the same day, with one English set covering both: Snow Hazard and Clay Burst became Paldea Evolved, Ancient Roar and Future Flash became Paradox Rift and Wild Force and Cyber Judge became Temporal Forces. Smaller sets such as Triplet Beat, Raging Surf and Crimson Haze have no English set of their own, which makes the Japanese box the only way to open them as they were made.
